Japan Panel Study of Senior People
Japan is the most aged society in the world.
The Japan Panel Study of Senior People (JPSSP) was first conducted in 2010, targeting individuals aged 50 to 84 living in Japan.
The survey has been conducted every two years since then, with the most recent wave being the 8th in 2024.
The primary goal of this study is to examine the life-course dynamics of senior people, focusing on the intergenerational transfer of care and finances, as well as family relations with their elderly parents and children.
This data could provide valuable insights on how to make an aging society more sustainable.
