Life-course Studies

Humans are born, age, and eventually pass away, living out their lives. How each person experiences this lifetime is closely linked to issues of inequality and disparity. To better understand the nature of disparities arising from generational, regional, and national differences, J-Aging Panel surveys primarily targeting individuals. These surveys will compare and analyze issues related to inclusivity at local, national, and international levels. In particular, this project aims to examine the problems of declining birthrates and aging populations, and how they are connected to social inclusion. We will analyze data from the J-Aging panel survey, which has been conducted every two years since 2010, to explore ways to build an inclusive future from multidimensional perspectives in an aged society.
